Words that Hurt…..Words that Heal…

September 24th, 2011 .

I quote Marianne Williamson..

‎”Until we have seen someone’s darkness, we don’t really know who they are.

Until we have forgiven someone’s darkness, we don’t really know what love is.” ~

With this in my heart, in my mind and on the tip of my tongue we  have walk back towards each other .

I am exhausted and replemished

glad for a decison to be made

Joyful at the choice.

He who cannot be named

A White Dog Day

September 20th, 2011 .

Two Friends

It’s  A White Dog Day

Its understood

All paws on the ground

All tails aloof

It’s A White Dog Day

The heart’s in front

The panting is easy

The chase is mute

It’s A White Dog Day

The skies understand

The cosmic lessons

Are well in hand

It’s A White Dog Day

No surprise for me

I’ve a bone in mouth

And in heaven there’s a tree.

“Don’t babe, don’t cry”

September 18th, 2011 .

End of August.. holy crow!!!

August 27th, 2011 .

Yes, well, amazed I am and just a bit shy about returning now that I’ve missed the entire summer’s worth of edifying blog stuff.

Some of you might be eager to see how I have fared these past few months… what with love entering the household. travelling to far away places… performing in strange and unique combinations… writing here writing there… blah blah blah… and others might not give a rats’ ass… Nevertheless.. I have opened the site and by golly… this is me writing.

And this is my new chair.

End of August

When it comes

As it does like a parting page

Bringing exhaustion and memory

Plus long lists of things done and not done and undone

Birthday presents not bought

Cards bought but not sent

Anniversaries given a fleeting mention in the mind

Amazed,wistful and laughing

With the tears of a child

Shall I

Remembering  each detail of this month

Till school arrives in my little heart

Then file  August away

A postcard into a drawer

A prized feather under the bed

A pair of flip flops in the corner of the door

Ah now

Wait and hang on

The month is not quite over

It’s Saturday 27th

A few days left to savor

A few days left to salt

Stand fast to this  Monday

This new forgotten New Moon

And keep the promises of August

The smiles the kisses the future in half bloom

What is today?

June 7th, 2011 .

Today is the 13th day Acsension Day-Give thanks to Mother Earth for all her gifts.

It’s a Galactic Activation Portal Day-be prepared to be amazed.

It’s my shift for the Goddess Watch.

Watch out….

Its the day I’m having a tooth removed…….oh.

Its’a Tuesday. It’s June. Its this year. It’s overcast. It’s light on it’s feet.

It’s good coffee. It is.

I am.                     And so are we.              And so are us all.

It’s new because I wait with an ease. I wait for someone who keeps his promises.

I will for him. I can.

This is the day.

Waiting is my pleasure.

What is your?

On this day, a windy rainy day….what is your pleasure?

And for whom do you wait?

Take care

Heart of Cheese

June 6th, 2011 .

I had a heart of cheese. Pretty and blue. Salty and smelly.

Any knife could cut it.

A spoon could  scoop it’s side.

A tasty little heart. Good for small bites.

An old heart. You might say mature.

Left on a shelf in cloth to ripen and mould.

I had a heart of cheese. Once bitten. Once  chewed.

Swallowed without a thought. An after dinner muse.

What a pleasure……

June 6th, 2011 .

June brings me by surprise.

A newness that comes with the meadowsweet blooming.

Yesterday I smelt her and was not disappointed.

June is full already and not quite a week old.

No fighting on the page for me.

Nor tangling with strangers in tights. My swords are down.  I am with ease.

Am with Ease.

June is here.

There is comfort in sitting.

Comfort in touch.

Pleasure in waiting.

Mystery in love.

June is here.

Hope she finds you well.

Catch up from Long Time No See

May 16th, 2011 .

Bravo to you if you’re back reading and Bonjour if this is your first time here.

I thought it a polite thing to

report back on the Pig Executive performance, one month ago today,

(April 16th 2011)

where we rocked the stage with our rehearsed reading of

Dermot Healy

Long Time No See

(there’s the cover if you’re looking out for it)

We had a full house at the Glens’Centre. (thank god)

Actor/ writer Donal Kelly opened and introduced the night by reciting a poem of his own where he mentioned every book Dermot wrote. And as Donal and he are long time friends it was a delighted homage to the man’s work.

Naturally we had nerves as a groups for we had never performed within such boundaries and we had made some precise directorial decisions regarding the staging and special effects. I was very pleased by how all 12 of us reached conclusions and how we shared insights on the texts and craft of acting technique without tears or blows.

Dermot and his good wife Helen were in the front tables as was Mayo poet Ger Reidy and Sligo poet Leyland Bardwell.

Apparently Dermot and Helen kept hitting and grabbing each other whenever we landed on a particularly good note  ( in other words, if we interpreted a piece of text well )and at the point where we jump up and sing HELP, Dermot rushed the stage and grabbed onto the Pigs in the front line. (scaring the bejesus out of poor little Salty Pig)

You had to be there, it was a laugh.

Ah , a beautiful night and there is a video.. and one day we’ll have it sorted and up on the old YTube.Bless eh…

Half way through the month

May 15th, 2011 .

Have way through the month I check my blog and find out that the previous writing didn’t load right… gosh… its amazing how things can slip away from you.

Ya turn around and realize the parade is down the other road…

Oh well….Onward and over that speed bump.

Well its been an exciting time here in eileen-land…..I finally went to Cork City to see what it was all about and to perform at the Mutant Space-Trash Culture Review.

www.mutantspace.ie/the-trash-culture-revue/

While there I had a wee radio interview   RTÉ Radio 1: Arena

And I generally had a good time in between  the rain!!!

Now, I have been told that Cork is a very sunny city  and perhaps it was just the luck of Leitrim that it poured every single day..sometime three times a day. Still.. there were very friendly people and some great music and new ideas. and shops… did I say there were shops…ooh everywhere. I wanted to bring back a  falafel house but that’s just my stomach speaking….. there were stores galore…..So… it was.. not so bad.. as they say here..

Do have a listen and take a look at the Mutant Space site..its way cool .

Cheers and thanks for clicking in.

Always, eileen
